Blood Donation Camp

Sresakthimayeil Institute of Nursing and Research in Komarapalayam, successfully organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with Bhavani Government Hospital on October 13, 2023. Our principal, Dr. Jamunarani.R., M.Sc. (Nursing), Ph.D., facilitated the event, and we were honoured to have Dr. Sivakumar, DCH, Assistant Surgeon at Erode Headquarters Hospital, as the chief guest. The event garnered active participation from both students and staff members of JKKN Educational Institutions, resulting in the collection of an impressive 50 units of blood. This event provided a unique opportunity for students and staff to contribute to a noble cause and learn about the importance of voluntary blood donation. Through their participation, they gained practical insights into organizing community service activities, understanding the logistics of a blood donation camp, and, most importantly, grasping the significance of saving lives through such initiatives. This event not only promoted a sense of social responsibility but also highlighted the critical role that healthcare institutions play in fostering community well-being. The success of this event serves as a valuable learning experience, emphasizing the positive impact of collaborative efforts in making a difference in society.
